It’s comfortable to use, to say the least. Also, it feels firm and steady when it’s in use. It feels quite similar to the MagneTrainer-ER Mini Exercise Bike – this one belongs under the desk too. Having owned the MagneTrainer for some months, one of our team members commented on the better workout feeling offered by the Desk Cycle Exercise Bike.

The Desk Cycle exercise bike offers 8 different resistance levels. This is exactly the same with the other exercise bikes on our review list. The magnetic resistance feature ensures that your workouts are pretty smooth. It is designed to be used when sitting although it has a maximum user weight of about 300 lbs.

We tested the white model which is available in two options – one with an adjustable pedal and the other with a fixed pedal. Both are the same, the pedal being the only differences. There’s a small display available to provide you with the important details of your workout such as speed, time, distance, calories burned etc.

While it was in use, we barely heard any noise from the machine. This means that even your boss wouldn’t know that you’re working out at work. As small as the machine is, it features a smooth and effectively weighted flywheel.

From the product manual, we were able to deduce that the ProGear exercise bike was designed for people who weigh below 220 lbs. That’s what to expect since it’s touted as the best budget exercise bike. Before our team member climbed unto it to test it, we had him check his weight again on a weighing balance. Satisfied, we proceeded to unfold the bike.

Its compact, to say the least. Without wasting any time, our test guy hopped onto it. Honestly, we really didn’t like the fact that it spotted a miniature LCD screen. In our opinion, the screen is not fit for such a machine – it displays only one workout data at a time. We’re quite sure ProGear could have done better whilst keeping the cost of the machine down. The screen displays a handful of data including time, speed, distance, and calories burned.

We liked how comfortable and firm the pedals on the ProGear felt. They are designed as one-size-fits-all. Another member of our testing team slipped his feet and it fit nicely. However, if you have quite large feet, it will not fit you properly.

Also, the handlebars felt firm and sturdy to the grip. Inbuilt heart pulse monitors come handy for monitoring one’s heart rate. There are 8 resistance levels to choose from – each offering a tough workout challenge.

Adjusting the length is as easy as pulling out a pin, pushing the bike to the desired length and returning the safety pin back into the hole.

Unfortunately, we didn’t find a pulse monitor on the machine. So, if you were expecting to see one, sorry, you won’t find any. The LCD screen is pretty much basic – as with the models we reviewed above. Your workout data is displayed on the screen. Below the LCD screen is the resistance adjustment knob so you can easily change the bike’s resistance.

The Exerpeutic exercise bike lacks the comfy seats with a backrest as seen on the Marcy Recumbent bike. However, this doesn’t impede its performance, at least, we are sure of that. The seat feels quite strong as the machine’s frame gives you the desired support.

Given its stylish design and price, we didn’t expect much in terms of features from the bike. We weren’t surprised when we saw it had only 8 resistance levels. Truth be told, most of the exercise bikes on the market have only 8 resistance levels. Away from that, the Exerpeutic bike is adjustable and can fit individuals of varying heights – between 5” and 6”. The bike also comes with a pulse monitor, unlike the Marcy bike which is in the same price range.

One thing we didn’t like was the fact that out of the box, we had to screw the bike tightly by ourselves. Although we expected to screw some bolts and nuts together, we didn’t expect to screw all. This didn’t stop us from enjoying a quick ride on the bike for a couple of hours as our testers meticulously checked the machine.

There’s a miniature LCD screen on the bike. It keeps you up to speed with the distance, time, pulse, as well as speed and calories burned.

The frame is made from durable heavy-duty steel. This, in turn, accounts for the bikes bike’s weight and its ability to support people weighing 400 lbs. The bike’s design is pretty simple. Perhaps, that is the reason why it is a foldable machine. You save a great deal of space when the bike isn’t in use in your home.

In addition to this, the Exerpeutic Gold 500 XLS exercise bike is adjustable. It can be adjusted to suit individuals as tall as 6’5” tall. The handlebars on the bike are firm and feel good to the grip. However, the same cannot be said for the seats. The sits are large enough but they aren’t outrightly comfortable and could use some extra padding. This would be beneficial for people who workout for long hours.

Everything else about the bike is pretty much similar to the other bikes. The LCD screen is a tad bigger than the bikes we’ve reviewed so far, but it’s not the biggest anyways. It displays the calories burned, pulse, speed, distance, and time. As expected, the exercise bike sports 8 different resistance levels for increasing workout intensities.

Secondly, the L NOW Pro Indoor bike comes with a massive 50 lbs flywheel. This ensures you have enough work to do when you’re exercising. In addition to that, there are 8 resistance levels on the bike, each level makes the workout tougher. The LCD screen displays your normal workout data in an easy to read format.

The bike’s height is easy to adjust. Furthermore, the seat is adjustable. Both adjustment features ensure the bike fits a variety of users. The pedals fit nicely and are comfortable – two team members tested the bike out for about an hour and didn’t complain of any bad effect of the pedals.

L NOW took time to work on the bike’s frame. This Pro model bike can support individual weighing up to 551lbs in contrast to the lesser model with a weight capacity of 400lbs.
